About our Founder

Your Creative Content Writer With a Vision

Bethany Watson-Ostrowski is the founder of Wordsmith Writing Company. A creative muse with a passion for storytelling, she has more than two decades of experience providing prolific inspiration on all things written for entrepreneurs, public relations agencies, business leaders,  organizations, and entertainers.

A former television host and public relations director, Bethany uses her interviewing chops to craft uniquely compelling bios, articles, white papers, annual reports, and blog posts that make her clients -and their clients- glow. Her writing services include ghostwriting for businesses, thought leaders and influencers, script development for webinars and commercials, and client and employee communication for executives.

A Philadelphia native, Bethany attended its public schools where her classmates voted her "Most Likely to Become the Next Emily Dickinson." She attended the esteemed Central High of Philadelphia, and later graduated magna cum laude from Drexel University. To help with her tuition, she entered the Miss Philadelphia Scholarship Competition and made pageant history by winning with an original comedy routine.

Bethany interviewed local leaders and celebs on Comcast Newsmakers, hosted Gimme the Mike, Philadelphia, and frequently appeared on NBC-10, KYW-3, and Fox 29. She used her skills in writing, business, and PR to develop and market medical conferences and events for universities and the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to starting Wordsmith Writing Company, she managed communications and marketing projects for an organizational development firm. During the pandemic, she started writing regularly for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Bethany founded Wordsmith Writing Company to live out her dream of enjoying the heck out of her work. Needing multiple creative outlets to stay happy, she also drives her ever-patient husband up a wall with her successful side hustle, Bethany’s Events - a catering, decorating, and event management company.

When she manages to put down the pen, Bethany enjoys cooking huge meals for family, friends, and neighbors, kickboxing, and dodging extended-warranty spam calls.
